The CS3G-C is a panel-mounted, mid-range controller for one extruder or capstan drive using one or two diameter gauges, with a color touchscreen. The CS5G/CS1000 is a rack-mountable system for advanced applications, controlling up to two extruders (single or double-layer insulation) from multiple diameter gauges, with a 14-inch touchscreen PC interface.

What gauges do these controllers connect to?

Proton's DG and DGk series diameter gauges for insulation measurement, and SL/SLR series gauges for line speed.

What control algorithm do they use?

A PI (proportional-integral) feedback controller; the CS3G-C also auto-compensates the P-term based on insulation cross-sectional area, with built-in statistical process control (SPC) to minimize material use.
